FSA K-Force Light Compact CranksetThe K-Force Light Compact Crankset from FSA features a carbon monocoque design and a stiffness to weight ratio that will have gear-heads drooling. The carbon crank-arms are hollow for maximum weight savings and superior stiffness. Powerful riders won’t lose watts to crank flex due to the rigid design of this carbon crankset.

The FSA K-Force Light also comes with bottom bracket that features ceramic bearings. Ceramic bearings offer enhanced durability as well as reduced friction due to the ability to achieve 1000 times more roundness than traditional steel bearings. This compact crankset is compatible with all Shimano 9 and 10 speed drivetrains so you won’t have trouble mating it up to your Dura Ace or Ultegra components. The 50/34 chainring combo gives you much wider gearing than a standard crankset and a much lighter weight that a triple crankset.

FSA uses an internal I-Beam with the K-Force Light compact crankset that gives it very high torsional rigidity and lateral stiffness. This just means that more of your power goes into propelling you forward as opposed to being absorbed by any type of flex in the crankset.

This is not a cheap crankset, so you’ll want to consult your local bike shop and understand how the K-Force Light will work with your existing set-up. You may also want to have a pro install this crankset so you don’t end up damaging it. Like all carbon components, you have to be careful about over-tightening. FSA offers this compact crankset with 170mm, 172.5mm and 175mm crank arm length options.
