Shimano Ultegra 6750 Compact CranksetTrickle-down technology from the top-of-the-line Dura Ace group has now come to Ultegra in the FC-6750 Compact Crankset. Aside from being lighter than previous iterations of Ultegra, the new 6750 crankset sports pro-looking new design. Weight is saved in a hollow 50 tooth chainring and the crank-arms are now even more stiff. Feel instant power transfer as you climb the steepest hills with the 50/34 chainring configuration.

Shifting is smooth an accurate thanks to individually machined teeth built to work in perfect synchronicity with the Shimano Ultegra 6700 chain. The Ultegra 6750 Compact Crankset also features a re-tooled bottom bracket seal system that works to minimize contamination from road grit and grime. It also serves to reduce friction even more than previous Ultegra models.

  1. Jeffrey says:

Ultegra is still, hands-down, the best blend of value and performance out there. I love that Shimano hasn’t jumped on the carbon crankset bandwagon. Carbon is great for some purposes, but to me it looks cheap and flimsy on cranksets. I’ve got Ultegra on both my road bikes and have been happy with the shifting for years. I also love the new DA-ish look. The old design was getting a tad bland, so I’m glad that 6700 Ultegra has an updated look. Unless you’re an elite racer, you won’t notice the weight difference between an Ultegra and a Dura Ace crankset. This crankset has great power transfer and doesn’t break the bank like DA.

Love this crankset. I’m running this on my Scott CR1 Pro and it’s awesome. This crank, with the BB30 bottom bracket, is super-stiff and the shifts are flawless. The bike came stock with an 11-28 cassette. I think I might switch to something like an 11-25, but I did find the 28 tooth cog useful on some big climbs I’ve done recently. I’ve found Shimano rings to be top notch and these are no different.
